BayLog is operated out of British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Who We Are

BayLog ("we", "us", "our") is a work-hour tracking application built for automotive collision repair shops. Our service is accessible at app.baylog.app. For privacy inquiries, contact us at support@baylog.app.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use BayLog:

We do not collect payment card information directly. Payments are handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

BayLog is built on the Base44 platform. Your data is stored on Base44's servers, which are located in the United States. By using BayLog, you consent to this cross-border transfer of data.

Base44 maintains industry-standard security practices including encryption and secure user management. For more details, see Base44's Privacy Policy.

BayLog uses WebSocket connections to provide real-time data synchronization between users within your organization. This means certain updates — such as pay period submissions, manager responses to flagged entries, and reviewed status changes — are transmitted in real-time to authorized users in your organization as they occur.

5. Who Has Access to Your Data

Access to your data within BayLog is controlled by role-based permissions:

BayLog's platform administrator (developer account) may access work hour data and account information across all companies for the purposes of technical support, system maintenance, and service operation. This access is limited to operational needs only.

BayLog staff may access data only when required to provide support, and only with your permission.

6. Digital Signatures

When submitting a Vacation Pay Request, technicians may provide a digital signature using the in-app signature tool. This signature is captured as image data and stored within your account record. It is used solely for record-keeping and PDF document generation purposes. Digital signatures are not shared with third parties and are associated only with the specific vacation pay request for which they were provided.

7. Multi-Company Access

BayLog supports users who belong to more than one company or shop. If you accept an invitation to join a second organization, a separate profile is created for that organization. Each profile's data is kept independent and is only visible to authorized users within the respective organization.

8. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain records.
